Missouri, had a 12-2 season in which he missed two games in Oklahoma. The 12 large loss of the title game to the Sooners ruined the opportunity to play Missouri in the national title game. It all starts with senior quarterback Chase Daniel. Daniel, the fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting last season, threw for 4.306 yards and 33 affected in 2007. Under the direction of Daniel, the Tigers scored at least 36 points in his 12 wins and reached the mark of 40 points on eight occasions.

Running back Tony Temple and back-to-back 1000 yard seasons are gone. The functions probably run by senior Jimmy Jackson and Derrick Washington second. Washington played in 12 games as a freshman and posted real big play potential. Jackson played in 38 collegiate games, scoring 10 touchdowns and 636 meters.

The good news for Missouri and Daniel is that six of the team in the top eight receivers from last season are back 2008. This includes All-American Sophomore Jeremy Macklin, who established only record the NCAA freshman season for all yards (2776). Experienced starters Tommy Saunders and hurt Alexander also refer to the position receptor. Senior tight end Chase Coffman will be in uncharted waters because this is the first season that did not split time with All-American Martin Rucker.

In the offensive line, two of four starters years and two key reserves have graduated. The strength of this unit is on the right side, where Brown and Colin off Guard Kurtis Gregory back.

The defense improved as the season progressed Missouri in 2007. Become nine starters, this improvement should continue. Senior ends Tommy Chavis and Stryker Sulak both return after combining for 10.5 sacks and 18 tackles for loss last season. The Tigers also welcome back senior side Ziggy Hood.

Junior linebacker Sean Weatherspoon returns after an impressive 2007. Weatherspoon was named to the All-Big 12 teams last season after leading the Mizzou defense with 130 tackles in what was his first season as a starter. Senior linebacker Brock Christopher, also returns. Christopher is a season that did a better 106 career tackles.

The Tigers have five players from the experience of returning from high school. This group is led by all free cash America William Moore. Moore, tied for most interceptions in the country last season with eight, they must return to the start of the season after the session all spring while recovering from shoulder surgery.

Senior kicker Jeff Wolfert was incredible. Wolfert has made 151-of-157 shots (field goals and extra points combined) in his career. Wolfert is a series of 64 consecutive shots done at the position this season. Punting is a question mark to Adam Crossett disappeared. Maclin returned two punts and a kickoff for touchdowns last season, so the return game should be solid.

With a ton of moves in attack and experience in the defense, the Tigers are competing for the Big 12 championship and a BCS bowl. They open the season against Illinois at end of the season against Kansas and Texas looming between the two. But if this team can avoid injuries to their best players, a National League game is not beyond the realm of possibility.
