Did you know that skateboarding is very close to becoming a recognized sport in high school? National High School Skateboarding Association launched in 2007, works to Skateboarding a team sport in high schools across the country. The NHSSA believes that young people snowboarding, like all other young athletes need a place to compete and reach their full potential. Pilots who want NHSSA supports bring their professional skills to the next level, those who want a career in the skateboard industry, and those who just enjoy skateboarding as a hobby.

Although this movement has received considerable attention, is not really the first attempt in high school competition skateboard teams.
