(Editor's Note: The rankings in this article come from the AP 25 Home of sportswriters and athletes, and estimates are by Jeff Sagarin. Ed Bagley Top 25 Poll is as subjective as the AP or coaches poll, but my survey is more fun to read.)

The big difference Why see a football game college is much nicer to see professional football is exciting not because Heck, professional football can be exciting too because college football is much more unpredictable. Third week of action from the university football is an excellent example.

The fate of the four teams Southern California, Brigham Young, Utah and Georgia Tech, has changed dramatically this week after losing.

Third Row USC, which beat San Jose State 56-3 at home and away Ohio State 18-15 in their first two games, flew north of Seattle and the 16-13 loss to Washington Husky team that was 0-12 last season. The Trojans lost because Steve Sarkisian, energetic new Washington coach, head, and Nick Holt, Washington excitable new defensive coordinator, played a key role for USC last season, Sarkisian was the offensive coordinator for Trojans and Holt was the defensive coordinator.

Washington began its season by playing hard and losing at No. 9 Louisiana State, 31-24, 42-23 before releasing Idaho to record their first win in 16 games. The Huskies now believe they can win, and believe me, now USC know you can get embarrassed by a team that believes it can win.

Washington Huskies were rewarded for their efforts in the jump in the AP Top 25 Poll at number 24. USC was reduced from 3 to 12 in the Associated Press poll itself. Washington Sagarin rankings also jumped 39 places in 7 days, from 63 to 24.

Seventh-ranked Brigham Young began his first season for disturbing Oklahoma 14-13, and then sacked Tulane 54-3. Unfortunately, no category of Florida State, which got beaten by Miami (FL) 38-34 in his first game at home, then drag the lowly Jacksonville State 19-9 in home, has been at BYU Cougars and chopped, 54-28. BYU dropped to 19, the Associated Press poll.

Ten eighth of Utah, which was the only undefeated team college major in football last year 13-0, has slipped by the State Utah 35-17 and San Jose State 24-14 before traveling to Oregon 31-24 Unranked and angry.

Fourteenth rank Georgia Tech opened its season in impressive looking something with a 37-17 victory over Jacksonville meanness, and the difficulty to survive past Clemson 30-27, but found things much tougher against No. 20 Miami (FL), losing 33-17. The Yellow Jackets came out AP Poll, and rose to Miami from 20 to 9.

Unpredictable? You bet. The chances of USC, Brigham Young University, Utah and Georgia Tech play for the national championship this year is probably not all were unbeaten last week.

Here are 11 teams that won classifieds and now 3-0 and continues:

No. 1 Florida at home for SEC opponent Tennessee 23-13. No. 2 Texas at the home of Texas Tech 34-24, Texas Tech was the only team to beat Texas last year. No. 4 Alabama in the most humble home, rank 124th North Texas 53-7. No. 5 Penn State in the home smaller, 125th rank Temple 31-6. No. 8 on the road to California, Minnesota, 35-21. No. 9 LSU at home over his rival in a state of LA-Lafayette, 31-3. No. 10 Boise State on the road, more Fresno State, 51-34.

Cincinnati No. 17 on the roadmap on the state of Oregon, 28-18. No. 22 Kansas at home over Duke, 44-16. No. 24 Carolina North at home by a rival in the State of East Carolina, 31-17. No. 25 Michigan at home more in state rival Eastern Michigan, 45-17.

Six other teams classified cattle. No. 5 Mississippi (now 2-0 and tied with Penn State at No. 5) at home by beating lowly 167th ranking, 1-AA Southeastern Louisiana, 52-6, and TCU (now 2-0) at home beat lowly 137th ranking, 1-AA Texas State in San Marcos 56-21. No. 11 Ohio State on the N-105-classified over Toledo, 38-0.

No. 12 Oklahoma, after being beaten by BYU 14-13 in their opening game, trying to regain the vote and most shutouts rank 178th # 64-0 of the State of Idaho, and now Tulsa, 45-0. No. 16 Oklahoma State (now 2-1) at home with a victory, 155 Range of Rice, 41-24. No. 23 Georgia (now 2-1) on the road over Arkansas in a very ugly win 52-41.

Georgia-Arkansas game was almost as bad as the home victory over Notre Dame at Michigan State, 33-30. These four teams are not as good, and you can tell by results, none of them has a defense worth talking about yet. All they can improve in the coming weeks ahead, but so far none of them is almost as well as advertising.

Nine other teams went quietly Unranked to 3-0 this week, all or part of them could keep winning and get into the Top 25 AP Poll soon. These include:

Southern Mississippi at home only in Virginia, 37-34. Colorado State at home over Nevada, 35-20. Pittsburgh at home in Navy, 27-14. Iowa at home over Arizona 27-17. Auburn at home over West Virginia, 41-30. UCLA at home over Kansas State, 23-9. Wisconsin at home by the range of a 102a 1-AA Wofford, 44-14. Missouri home rather 120a, 1-AA Furman, 52-12. South Florida home more modest rank 162nd session, 1-AA Charleston Southern, 59-0.

Seven teams have not been placed in the same field with his opponent this week, because none of them had any real chance of winning. North Texas including Temple, Eastern Michigan, Southeast Louisiana, Texas State in San Marcos, Rice, and South Charleston.

The winner of the week? These Washington Huskies, hands out down. Their 16-13 victory over the United States ranks as the most troublesome for the Washington football program in school history. Washington can only become the biggest surprise of the season.
